The Coronavirus and Your Anxious Children

By Monica Grainger, MSW, RSW This is an unusual time. Families are asked to stay at home and engage in social distancing due to the coronavirus (COVID-19). Families are becoming flooded with news from around the world about the deadly result of this virus. As we are becoming more anxious about COVID-19, the anxiety is mounting among our children. I have highlighted some behaviours which may lessen our childrens’ anxiety regarding the coronavirus. People are fearful and discussions about death are rampant. Children easily sense fear in other people. They need to be comforted and reassured that they are safe at home. In the next few days and weeks to come, help your children reduce their anxiety by adhering to the following recommendations: […]

Transition Challenges of Going Back to School

By: Geraldine Del Monaco, Energy Healer & Intuitive Practitioner Anxious feelings are normal and expected during times of transition or change. This is especially true for children and teens going back to school, or for first-timers starting kindergarten. This transition can be stressful and disruptive for the entire family! Prior to the first day of school, your anxious child may cling, cry, have temper tantrums, complain of headaches or stomach pains, withdraw, and become sullen or irritable. Worries are common. Anxious children and teens worry about many different school-related issues, such as teachers, friends, fitting in, and/or being away from their parents. Also as parents, we often have high expectation and when they are not met, we can unconsciously transmit our frustration to our kids. The following are a list of physical and emotional signs of anxiety that parents can watch for: […]

Pregnancy & Anxiety

By: Lindsey Danisch MSW, RSW I’ve never thought of myself a health nut, but I do consider myself a conscience consumer. Suddenly, when I got pregnant, I found myself questioning my entire lifestyle. It started with the questions I was being asked about the kind of mother I wanted to be. When I didn’t know the answers, I started to get a little nervous. But that’s what research is for! But then, otherpeople started asking me questions too: Do I want an epidural? Will I use a midwife or a MD for the birth? Do I want to breastfeed? Am I already on a list for childcare? Will I use cloth or disposable diapers? Will I co-sleep? While I choose to believe most people asking the questions had good intentions and aren’t trying to judge my answers, it was hard not to judge myself. This being my first baby, I had not made these decisions before.  This is where anxiety steps in. […]

When tackling these thoughts – it can be helpful to get a little help from the experts. We sat down with Registered Psychotherapist & School Teacher, Melody Yeung to ask how she can help. What is Bioresonance?

MORA Nova – Bioresonance Therapy Bioresonance therapy is designed to activate the body’s ability to regulate and heal itself by treating imbalances caused by irritants, toxins, pathogens and environmental pollutants. Conceived of and developed in Germany, the Mora NovaTM is one of the world’s leading devices in providing bioresonance treatments. Initially the Mora NovaTM is used to evaluate an individual’s frequency patterns in the form of oscillations (electromagnetic waves). Those patterns are then compared with the harmonious patterns stored within the Mora’s database. When frequency patterns within the body are determined to be stressed or unhealthy (typically by causing allergies, food intolerances and other imbalances) the Mora Nova delivers individualized therapies to treat and invert the harmful frequencies until healthy patterns are restored. The therapy can reduce imbalances and help the body to recover. It can also be used to help identify and prevent problems proactively, before imbalances occur or advance. […]

This will help to better ensure fast and effective results. If there is improvement after two to three doses of a remedy, do not re-dose unless there is reoccurrence of symptoms.
