Eating WellAm I eating properly?

Is my diet balanced?

Am I missing anything?

Am I getting the nutrition I need?

What diet is right for me?

What should I eat?

These are some of the questions that you may be asking yourself. In fact, these are some of the most common questions that I’m asked by clients.

And they’re very good questions. We’ve taken to the internet to for everything from self diagnosing illness to researching foods to eat and avoid. But more information can equal confusion… With all the health information circulating these days, not to mention all the hot new diets, it’s hard to know what the heck to eat.

Holistic nutrition is a relatively new field, and you may have some questions. So I’m going to answer some questions that I’m often asked:

What is a Holistic Nutritionist?

A holistic nutritionist is different from other nutritionists in that we look at ALL aspects of your life. We look at the physical, emotional, environmental and spiritual aspects of YOUR life to create a personalized plan that is unique to YOU.

Why food?

You know what can help you sleep better at night, feel more rested, reduce the bloated feeling in your belly, improve your skin and mood?

The answer may surprise you, but it’s food. The right food for you, that is.

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” Hippocrates, the ancient Greek physician, said it best. Food has the ability to nurture and heal our bodies. But much of the modern convenience foods that we eat won’t contribute to these good feelings .

Why should I see a Holistic Nutritionist?

If you’re stuck in a food rut.

If you’re seeing a Naturopathic Doctor and would like some additional support around food.

If you’ve tried diets that don’t work and you want a long term way to lose weight (and keep it off).

If you’re finding meal-planning for you or your family frustrating.

If you’ve ever asked any of the questions at the beginning of this post!
